Water for Wells
1 billion people lack access to safe,
clean drinking water. Many of them struggle to survive on less than one
dollar per day, making it impossible to pay for a water well
themselves.
Every day 6,000 people die from diseases caused by unsafe drinking water. Almost 5,000 of those are children.
Women
and children spend much of their day collecting dirty water, often
carrying multiple containers weighing over 40 pounds each. This is a
major factor prohibiting female children from attending school and
greatly interferes with women's ability to engage in income generating
tasks.
$20 can give one person clean drinking water for 20 years.
The Wine Attic has a wonderful selection of California wines. We specialize in California Central Coast wines from Santa Barbara to Monterey County, with San Luis Obispo County in between. We have extensive ties to Paso Robles, the fastest growing AVA in the US.
